Why I Walk For Joyce

I participate in the Winship 5K because cancer is deeply personal to me. My mom fought for so many years with a strength that still inspires me every day, and Emory and the Winship team were instrumental in giving us that precious time with her. Their compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to her care made an immeasurable difference in our lives. Participating in the Winship 5K is my way of honoring her fight, thanking those who stood by her, and supporting the research that gives families like mine hope.

Since its start, the Winship 5K has raised more than $12.7 million for cancer research.
